- Guided experience with accredited tour guide and township guide
- Transport to and from accommodation
- Lunch in an African home
- Bicycle and equipment
- Giant Cargo Net - 17 meters long and 4 meters high.
- Suspension bridge – This 12m long bridge hangs freely in the air. Every step you take causes it to bounce wildly, and twist out of control.
- Climbing wall – climbing holds have been setup on a giant Gum tree. The higher you go the more difficult it gets.
- Zip Slide (foofie slide) – this 130m long slide starts off on a platform in the trees, 12 meters above the ground. It travels out of the forest and over a dam to guarantee an adrenalin pumping experience. The zip slide adheres to all necessary safety standards. Clients are secured in a special harness and suspended from a free running pulley which runs along a steel cable. You will experience extreme acceleration as you descend down the wire.
- Paintball Target shooting with catapults – using ballistic catapults and biodegradable paintballs
- Tight-rope walking - A steel cable to walk on, and two ropes to hold onto – suspended above the ground, and spanning 12m.
- Uneven posts – different diameter posts, standing up out of the ground at various heights of 10 - 60cm.
- Bosuns Chairs - A number of wooden seats, suspended in the air, and hanging on ropes.
- Angled balance beams - 3 balance beams in a ‘Z’ shape, about 50cm off the ground.
- African Formula 1 – a tyre race along a winding forest course. A good team strategy and quick pit stops are essential to ensure victory.
- Live Wire – your team needs to move along 5 cables running between the trees using overhead ropes, each other and their lateral thinking skills to get to the finishing deck. Team work is essential.
- A sandboard – can be purchased from major surf shops or directly from the manufacturers. Second hand sports shops sometimes have good beginners boards.
- Wax – Cobra Floor Polish works pretty well.
- Sponge to apply the wax to the bottom of the board
- Suncream, Hat, water and juice.

Alan Wellburn

Alan has worked in the tourism and finance industries in South Africa, Australia and the UK. He has travelled through Central America, Australia, SE Asia and Europe on his quest for waves (using his BComm Degree and cheap suit to finance his travels). His main passions are surfing, mountain biking and sandboarding (although he spends a lot of time in the office going bald).

Scott Martin
Scott has worked in the adventure industry in South Africa and the States for the past 7 years. He is a passionate white water kayaker and likes cars with big exhaust pipes. Scott is also a very tallented adventure photographer, but has a talent of being able to spot an unusual shot of pretty much anything from grannies big toe to a Ugandan chapati.

Tyran
Surf and sandboarding instructor who always seems relaxed regardless of the situation. He surfs really well despite riding a ‘retro’ board which weighs a ton (hazard of living in Kommetjie).

Sarah Nicholson

One of South Africa’s top female surfers. Excellent surf instructor, but don’t get her to tie the boards on the roof (hazard of living in Kommetjie)

Jonathan Shapiro | Re: WILDER PARTY SUN
Dear Alan, Scott and Ryan
A huge thank you for organizing such a terrific party for us! The kids and parents are still talking about it and we were just blown away! It will be very difficult to top this next year. Quite a few parents are thinking of it as an option for their children. I hope this generates some more bookings for you. I had spotted your competition in the Cape Town’s Child and then I looked at your site online but a lot of the parents did not know where I came up with the idea. Everybody seems to be reading Cape Town’s Child now yet they missed your info in it. Perhaps you should look at running a more eye-catching or prominent ad (unless of course you have more bookings than you can cope with!).
Thanks again!
Best regards
Carolyn Wilder

Corporate Sandboarding and Dune Games

Enjoy a fun filled day on the dunes of Atlantis. Our experienced instructors and facilitators will guide your group through a number of fresh and exciting team building activities.

How to Sandboard

Getting started
You don’t need much equipment to start sandboarding. The basics are:

An experienced sandboarding instructor will meet you at the Atlantis Sand Dunes at a pre-arranged time. The Atlantis Dune field is the largest shifting dune field in the Western Cape. It is situated a mere 35 minutes from the V&A Waterfront, and boasts some of the best sandboarding dunes in the country

A visit to the Addo Elephant Park and Sea View Lion and Game Park, where you will be able to play with Lion Cubs, is highly recommended and is included in the price of this package.
The first lesson with sandboarding is to keep you weight forward. Your natural reaction will be to lean backwards. If all your weight is on your back foot, you will not be able to turn or control the board.
